Began windsurfing in 1974 at age 11
Began competing internationally as an amateur.
In 1976 and turned professional in 1981
won first world title in 1976 at age 13, and remained
the #1 ranked windsurfer in the world until 1987.
Only out of top ten once, during a partial retirement year.

Retired from PWA Windsurfing Tour in 2001.
Competed in kiteboarding Pro Events from 1999 through 2002.
Now "Retired from conventional competition"
Still doing select promotional and competitive events.
