Björn Dunkerbeck's is focused steadfast on breaking the current world speed sailing record. Picking up his 34th PWA World Championship title in October '05 he continues to dominate of the world of windsurfing.
Since the first World Speed Sailing Challenge was held in Arinaga in 2003, Björn has since taken to the South of France, Namibia and Weymouth to fine tune his technique and equipment for the next stage of the tour.
When not sailing the exotic beaches of the world, Björn - a resident of Andorra - divides his time between his homes on the island of Maui, Hawaii and the Canary Islands, with his wife Maria and children Alba & Liam. He is a founding partner of Proof Boards creating state-of-the-art boards with shaper icons Carlos Sosa and Peter Thommen.
