Antoine Albeau did not waste much time in his life to get a taste of speed sailing when as a child he and his friends embarked on breaking a local speed record between the shorelines of Chanchardon, France and its lighthouse situated 5 kilometers out to sea. Growing up at the parents windsurfing school certainly did the rest to prepare him for this challenge.
A professional windsurfer on the PWA tour since ’92 Albeau has steadfast focused on being one of the fastest men on water alive. With a World Championship title in freestyle and a runner-up in Formula Racing for the past two seasons, Albeau is clearly a force to be reckoned with.
Always looking for the favorable winds to prepare for the Speed Sailing Challenge, Albeau continues to travel between Europe and the island of Maui, Hawaii.
